Hi group,
I just heard from a collector that there is a CD compilation/
Best Of The Flirtations out now. I don't know how long it's been
out and I forget the label. Does anyone have this? Is there a web
site I could find the track listing or where I could place an order?

Hi,
Just doing a spot of Goffin/King homework . . . like you do.
Can any of the inhabitants of planet Spectropop tell me who
recorded the original versions of their compositions "What
You Got" and "So This Is How It Feels"? I am aware of the
British versions by the Eccentrics and the Countrymen,
respectively. Surely previous American renditions exist. Does
anyone know?

Well Will, I don't know Joe, but I've got a 45 by Shane DeShannon,
who couples "Reconsider baby" with "Are you lonesome tonight" on
Ringo Records, a label from Hartman, Arkansas. Shane seems to be
an Elvis fan. And I've got just a few records by another DeShannon,
girl singer, forget her name, must be getting old.......

Today we lost two music legends -
The Who's John Entwistle passed away in Las Vegas, and
Billboard Magazine's Timothy White passed away in New York.
