But > I guess that was already used for that earlier girl > group collection with Cherilyn's fabulous "Dream Baby" > and Alder Ray's essential "'Cause I Love Him." Chico's > Girl, anyone? Ahh, the great Dream Babies collection, one of the few GG collections wherein there are no repetitions of 'Chapel of Love' and 'Leader of the Pack'. Not being critical of the last two but how many GG anthologies do they appear on? Anyway,,,, Odd that when I picked up said collection, I was extremely excited to get many of these tracks on pristine vinyl! And the Honey's track is classic. The two post-spector Crystals tracks were definitely the weakest! Same with Kent/Charly collections like: 'Charly's Angels' (mostly Red Bird Girl Groups), 'Where the Girls are'(with faves 'The Cake'), 'Girls with Guitars', 'Girls About Town'. What I wouldn't give now to get them on CD! --------------------[ archived by Spectropop ]-------------------- Message: 3 Date: Fri, 31 Aug 2001 17:09:23 -0400 From: Doc Rock Subject: Redcoats > Well, I think that both albums are fine and this recent > release made me wonder if they released any more songs. > Anybody knows? > They had a 1964 radio hit in the Midwest called "I'm Only the Best I Can Be For You? written by Buzz Cason. A faux Brit record. Now on the Immediate anthology CD. I hate to contradict Phil who is many times more knowledgable than I am, but I do have Goldie's UK Immediate 45 of Goin' Back / Headlines - Immediate 026. Looks like I started something with Reparata. Glad to have been of service! The CD is on Uh-Banana Records #1001 and it is available from Clifton Records, 1135 Main Avenue, Clifton NJ 07011 for about $17.00 (I think) plus P&H. Thanks to Michael "Doc Rock" Kelly, I had the chance to listen to the RCA singles and they are cool! (More on that at another time).
