Ahh, the great Dream Babies collection, one of the few GG
collections wherein there are no repetitions of 'Chapel
of Love' and 'Leader of the Pack'. Not being critical of
the last two but how many GG anthologies do they appear
on? Anyway,,,, Odd that when I picked up said collection,
I was extremely excited to get many of these tracks on
pristine vinyl! And the Honey's track is classic. The
two post-spector Crystals tracks were definitely the
weakest! Same with Kent/Charly collections like:
'Charly's Angels' (mostly Red Bird Girl Groups), 'Where
the Girls are'(with faves 'The Cake'), 'Girls with
Guitars', 'Girls About Town'. What I wouldn't give now
to get them on CD!

They had a 1964 radio hit in the Midwest called "I'm Only the Best I Can
Be For You? written by Buzz Cason. A faux Brit record.

for an audio engineering class. Much appreciated.

I hate to contradict Phil who is many times more
knowledgable than I am, but I do have Goldie's UK
Immediate 45 of Goin' Back / Headlines - Immediate 026.

Looks like I started something with Reparata. Glad to
have been of service!

Hello Everyone,

Through the celestial powers of girl-groupville, by
talking so much about Reparata & The Delrons, I came
across a CD of Their Mala, Kapp and RCA singles, including
the 3 previously unreleased RCA songs. The CD is on
Uh-Banana Records #1001 and it is available from Clifton
Records, 1135 Main Avenue, Clifton NJ 07011 for about
$17.00 (I think) plus P&H. Thanks to Michael "Doc Rock"
Kelly, I had the chance to listen to the RCA singles and
they are cool! (More on that at another time).

Regards,

John Clemente

I just heard the Carol King song "It Might As Well Rain
Until September" and I would like to know who was the
female who sang backup. At the the end of the song the
word "September" sung by the female backup singer really
makes the song stand out.
