As I recall we made a demo at Dick Charles' studio, with Gary playing guitar and me keeping rhythm slapping my knees. We made a big demo at Regent Studios. Ritchie Adams arranged it. It was Ritchie who came up with the guitar intro used on the Turtles record, and of course we had "so how is the weather" on our demo. So I would have to say that the Turtles had to have heard the big demo to have the guitar riff in the intro. As for having a certain artist in mind, I would have to say the artist would be my LANDLORD!!!!! Best.. That alan gordon -------------------[ archived by Spectropop ]-------------------
