I'm not sure this song counts as "bi", but it's certainly older,
and quite outrageously bold for its time. I just love it for its
hooky device of cramming more syllables into a line than sound
like they belong there, and for the fact that BECAUSE it crams
in those words so fast, a lot of people don't realize that the
mystery of the gender of the song's subject finally IS answered
in the song:
"Well I'm not the world's most masculine man
But I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man
And so is Lola..."
La-la-lo-lo Lola
That would be by the aptly-named Kinks, in case you're not
familiar with it.
Anyway, if he's not bi, he's certainly confused...

Richard, that's a funny story. I always liked the brackets
thing. On a side note, not sure if this has ever been brought
up here. One of my fave early 45 purchases as a kid was the
Peter, Paul & Mary 45 "Stewball". Loved it! Not until a year
ago at Christmas did I realize that the intro of "Happy Christmas
(War Is Over)" is a dead on copy of "Stewball"!! John coulda been
sued before George??!!

Joe, As I mentioned, I have the Arkade 45 on a stereo DJ
copy. I will try to post to musica if space allows and
anyone is interested. Another cool thing about the DJ 45
is that it comes with a picture sleeve!! Great record!
Thanks, Austin.
Anyone want to hear his "One Word" version? It is great!
I was unaware that the Grass Roots did it too. I dug out
my "Movin Along" LP and there it was! As usual,
Spectropoppers at work again! Thanks!
