I don't remember the "mini spins" of CFL but I bet they were mind-blowing. I myself didn't really start paying attention to the Top 40 until the end of '67, but I think you're right about Lujack going over to 890; he kept the younger set listening with his insane humor. I recall (albeit vaguely) the remotes from The Cheetah Lounge. Maybe I should ask Bob Stroud on 97.1 to play a few of those for his Sunday morning flashback show (if he can possibly find them). I have the December's Children 1970 album on Mainstream. They did excellent "heavy folk-rock", and I knew they weren't the "Backwards and Forwards" band but I didn't know there were at least three groups with that name, on seven or eight different labels.
