Show features THE ZOMBIES, PETER & GORDON (first time playing together in 35 yrs), the FAB FAUX, BILLY J. KRAMER, and David Letterman's PAUL SCHAEFFER. Probably won't get home until 2 am or later, so give me a little time to file a report. MIKE SMITH, of the DAVE CLARK 5, is paralyzed from the chest down b/c of an accident in his home in Spain; recently taken 'off the tube' (thank God), has limited use of one arm. I suspect I'll be feeling GLAD ALL OVER. It's a good cause. Maybe see some of you there? I only wish there weren't those weird sound effect interruptions in that last chorus, 'cos this could be a certified floofiller otherwise. The site is called "The Voice of Tony > Burrows", at http://www.ne.jp/asahi/salaryman/asada/burrows.htm > He even does a bit of a Pete Frame, with a family tree at > http://www.ne.jp/asahi/salaryman/asada/tree1.htm Tony Burrows was a true journeyman. I remember a time when he had three records in the charts under different names. And on one occasion appeared on "Top of the Pops", the BBC weekly show, as both a part of a duo singing "Gimme dat Ding" and as part of another band (could it have been Eddystone Lighthouse?) with a swift change of costume. I worked with him for two weeks in 1966 and he was charming. He was part of the IVY League at the time. Great days and some unsung talent.
