If I remember well, I think you may be right. Robin Ward did
sing the "la-la-la-la" part and Mel Blanc did the spoken voice
part.

Anybody do a video or audio > tape? All costs more than re-imbursed. Nope, no recordings of the event were made, Ian. However, if you like, Phil, Ian, Malcolm, Simon, Martin, Keith and I would be only too happy to pop 'round to your place and re-enact the Actionettes performance for you. Otherwise, check out Miss Elisabeth's website for the first published pix of the event: http://hiptoyou.blogspot.com and the Actionettes' site for news of their forthcoming dos: http://www.actionettes.com MICK PATRICK -------------------[ archived by Spectropop ]-------------------
Message: 3 Date: Wed, 21 Aug 2002 07:22:27 -0000 From: Leonardo Flores Subject: 4 Seasons Poster Sleeve / Diane Renay For years I've been reading that there is a Fold Open 45 Picture Sleeve for the 4 Seasons Saturday's Father single on Phillips. I have never seen one! Do any of you Spectropoppers out there have a copy of it? It would be great if I could get a scan of the poster so I know what to look for. I already have the normal one but still no fold open sleeve! Also I never have heard of the Diane Renay bootleg you're referring to. I don't have it but I do believe Soldier Boy is on the Diane Renay LP. Cheers all, hopefully I can make it to the next Spectropop Party. Message: 4 Date: Wed, 21 Aug 2002 07:27:53 -0000 From: Leonardo Flores Subject: The Mothers Ray Collins Any Mothers fans out there? Ray Collins lives in the downtown area I work at and I talk with him quite frequently. Post some questions and I'll bring them up to him. He's a real cool Gentleman and always has a great story or two about his stint with Mothers, before and beyond Cheers Leonardo -------------------[ archived by Spectropop ]-------------------
