Yes. The Concords have a CD of all the stuff they recorded, and the song is also included in the following compilations: "Dynamite Group Sounds," vol. 38 "Fabulous Groups," vol. 2 "Night Train Of Oldies," vol. 3 All those plus The Concords CD can be found at http://www.doowopshoobop.com -------------------[ archived by Spectropop ]-------------------
Message: 2 Date: Thu, 03 Nov 2005 13:10:06 -0500 From: Alex McNeil Subject: Jackie DeShannon radio interview I'll be airing an interview with Jackie DeShannon on "Lost and Found," WMBR (88.1 FM), Cambridge MA (webcasting at http://www.wmbr.org), Thursday, Nov. 10 and 17, from 12n to 2p (EST). I interviewed Jackie by phone in October. The first hour of the Nov. 10 show will feature songs by artists who influenced her, as selected by her. The second hour will include portions of the interview, songs by her and compositions of hers performed by other artists. The second hour of the Nov. 17 show will be similar to the second hour of the first show -- interview and music by her as singer and composer. WMBR also archives its shows online for about two weeks after air date. Details may be found at the station's web site. "Lost and Found" airs every weekday on WMBR, and celebrated its 25th anniversary this summer. We are dedicated to music of the '60s and early '70s, but we strive to provide an alternative to the constricted playlists of the commercial oldies and classic rock stations. As a noncommercial station, we can dedicate an entire program to a single artist or to some other musical topic. Message: 3 Date: Thu, 03 Nov 2005 20:50:02 -0000 From: Larry Watts Jr. Subject: Lanny Duncan I'm looking for some information on Lanny Duncan and I would bet this is where to find it. I know that he released three singles on Candix between 1960 and 1962, one of them being a version of "Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me", and that he wrote "Let's Go (Pony)" and a few other tracks for The Routers. I understand that he later worked with Bones Howe as an arranger and that he may have written some material for the 5th Dimension. Nothing credited to him appears on any of their first five albums, and I do not have any of their later albums to verify. Does anyone who worked on a project with Bones recall working with Lanny? Also, what happened to the Candix masters? I know that just about all of Lanny's tracks have popped up on various German rockabilly comps but I don't know if they are grey area labels. Message: 4 Date: Thu, 03 Nov 2005 21:33:25 -0000 From: Rob Indart Subject: Linda Carr Does anybody have any information on Linda Carr, who recorded for DCP? I have two 45s by her, and am very curious who she was. All four songs were written and produced by Teddy Randazzo. -------------------[ archived by Spectropop ]-------------------
